How to connect your first platform
2 min read
Connecting a platform tells Glowr which accounts to pull data from. Once connected, Glowr uses the platform's official API to fetch your metrics automatically — you don't need to export anything manually.
What "connecting" means
When you connect a platform, Glowr requests read-only OAuth access. This lets Glowr read your analytics, follower counts, and revenue data. Glowr cannot post, edit, or delete anything on your behalf.
Glowr only ever requests read-only scopes. You can revoke access at any time from both Glowr settings and the platform's own connected-apps page.
Step-by-step: connecting a platform
- 1.Go to Settings → Integrations in your Glowr dashboard.
- 2.Click "Connect" next to the platform you want to add.
- 3.You'll be redirected to that platform's login page — sign in with the account you use for your creator content.
- 4.Review the permissions screen and click "Allow" or "Authorize".
- 5.You'll be redirected back to Glowr. The platform card will show a green "Connected" badge.
What Glowr can and cannot do
- ●Can read: analytics, follower counts, video/post performance, revenue from monetized platforms
- ●Cannot do: post content, delete content, change account settings, access DMs or private messages
- ●Cannot read: payment method details, passwords, or data from accounts you haven't connected
Verifying the connection worked
After connecting, return to your dashboard. Within a few minutes you should see data populate for that platform. The platform card in the Platform Health section will show a "Healthy" status and a timestamp of the last successful sync.
If the platform shows "Syncing…" for more than 5 minutes, try refreshing the page. First-time syncs can take a little longer as Glowr pulls historical data.
